My Story

This is the website of Ed Diaz. You are about to take a tour into a world with the collection of all our fears, now reflected on art paintings. Images that will surely draw your attention and that will send shivers down your spine or simply touch you deep inside in a more enjoyable way.

My artistic journey began at an early age. As a kid, I was already absorbed into an impulsive stroke of the brush and among other hobbies such as music and writing.

However I spent much of my time traveling and working, trying to make a living in different jobs and usually away from home. It has been only recently that I have come back to my artistic roots after being busy for so many years on other things. Away from what my real passion is. Art.

Day after Day I am more skilled and concerned in the placements of shapes and shadows in my paintings, trying to create my pieces of art in a very instinctive way, always being able to imagine scenes of dark dreams in my head, to be painted afterwards, as a personal interpretation of how I see the world and its chaos.

My inspiration has managed to come from many sources. It is the inner spark that lives inside all of us that eventually triggers our most hidden talents. Talents can take you to a journey in some sort of understanding on how to channel your feelings and skills to capture them and put them across the canvas.and

The best way to find out what I am talking about and filling my days with, is to look at my photos and art gallery. It is a pleasure for me to share with all of you a little and intimate part of what I do to endure my existence. Some of you might find my art as obscure, macabre, or simply too melancholic, at the end it’s up to the viewer to define that. All what I can say is that my paintings are all made with my heart.
